Sick Builds
Hay guys!
Here are some cool mechbuilds I use to get by:
1.Shredder (Close Range Annoying Brawler)
Mech needed: Hunchback (Laserback)
Upgrades needed:
Endo Steel structure (you can achieve the build w/o this upgrade but you need to drop the leg armor to 20);
Double Heat Sinks;
Weapons:
9 Medium lasers;
Engine: STD 260;
Armor: Full (Center torso 50/14,Left torso (the Laserback) 34/14, Right torso 24/24)
Weapon groups:
Group1: Torso+Head
Group2: Hands
Strategy:
Use Group1 on alternative fire mode to avoid overheating.
Use the speed to your advantage (try to move at all times).
Have the Alpha Stryke key mapped to a convenient key (eg. "Q").
This build allows you to have 2 Alphas (45 focused dmg each) w/o any problem and then continious fire for support.
Also keep in mind that this is a medium mech so try to be a shadow for a heavier one.
2.Punisher (Mixed LRM/Laser Mech for countering ECM Atlas and general support)
Mech needed: Stalker 5s or 3f (4 missle/6 laser)
Upgrades needed:
Endo Steel structure;
Double Heat Sinks;
Weapons:
2 LRM 5
2 LRM 15 (keep them on the torso to have them protected)
4 Stacks of LRM ammo should be decent for a match. Conserve the ammo though.
VERY IMPORTANT: Place the ammo on your legs and the AMS ammo on your head to avoid getting them exploded when hit.
This combination allows you to get 40 LRMs for less weight/heat than with two LRM 20
4 Medium Lasers (hands)
1 Large Laser (put the large laser on the torso)
Equipment
1/2 AMS (for the 3f you get an aditional 1.5 tons and two slots that you can use on heat sinks)
TAG (for countering ECM SLOWASHELL Atlases. put it on the torso)
Engine: STD 300
Armor: Full (except the legs. put 40 armor on the legs. alos have as much as you can on the front. Keep 30 on the center torso's back);
Weapon groups:
1: Lasers
2: Missles
3: TAG (you have to keep it pressed to aim)
5: One LRM 5 (This is sick: fire a volley of missles on to the horizon to force the enemy to reveal their position and numbers by activating their AMS)
6: The large laser (for heat conservation at long range. Toggle between 6 and 1 for close combat)
Strategy:
Keep a moderate distance to enable LRM at all times.
Try not to alpha strike.
This build actually allows you to type commands (such as: kill the ATLAS !!!!) to your teammates for focusing fire.
Zoom is indicated.
The 5 lasers give you a decent focused close combat damage (29) but you should always have a support mech guarding you, being an Stalker and all.

Wicked Sick Cicada
WHAT YOU NEED

Ferro Fibrous Armor
226 Armor
Basically, You just throw all that Stuff into a Cicada, Plenty of armor on everything but the little Arm things, and double heat sinks in the engine and three in the Shoulders. You go fast and shoot lots and have a good time. Also the Medium lasers can be replaced with Flamers for a Team Inferno Favorite. I pretty much always alpha and when the heat starts raging i chain fire till it goes down again. Its a pretty good time.
